I am really looking into this one. The battery life is really buying me in. And the test I read, especially pointed out the excellent quality of the external monitor connector.

Looking forward to getting one with a preinstalled linux. (do not want to pay the windows ;) )

I find that it takes a certain active will to achieve that state these days - not something I fall into, instead, something I have to actively seek.

In Zen or martial arts terms, it's called "No-Mind", or Mu (emptiness). I can achieve it there, from time to time as well.

I feel like I've touched it at work, from time to time, even in an highly interrupt driven environment - everything that comes in gets dealt with, it's like my context switching time goes to 0.

It's a buzz... but can be draining as well.

[...] Ah, now then. Did I mention that I stopped hopping for distros? Well I’ve told myself this several times but till now I haven’t really kept it. Now that I’ve tried the distros I’ve wanted to try for now, I’ve decided that Kubuntu is ideal for me. “Kubuntu, you say? #17 on Distrowatch in the last six months? Isn’t that a little… erm, low?” No, as a matter of fact it isn’t. There are few decent Kubuntu reviews around which could tempt me to write one if time permits, but here is the one that got me thinking about Kubuntu. [...]

Sorry to hear about your camera. You mentioned you dropped it twice before. I just wanted to let you know that some LCD screens won't appear damaged or cracked right away when you damage them. Later, you'll notice the liquid crystals leaking out of it as you just did. :-(

By the way, I found your blog through a link to it on the Plasma development team page. I was bored and looking through the Plasma developer web sites/blogs. :-)

I just wanted to drop a line to say that I believe this post perfectly explains why the Eee PC is such a success. I found it so revealing that I had to make a cite on blog I'm running.

It's in Spanish, but just translates your two paragraphs from "I'm really sold ..." to "... found nothing".

Hope you don't mind. Gracias!
