I’m an Australian who lives in Wellington, New Zealand. I’m an enthusiastic amateur photographer and my work can be found at Flickr.com.
I’m a full time geek and work as a Linux systems specialist at IBM NZ. I’m a long term contributor and supporter of the open source project KDE, although unfortunately being more than full-time employed makes contributions scarce these days.
My first passion is writing and this site serves as a collection of both my musings on IT and life in general and also the articles I write for various magazines on IT & open source. My writing can be found in the print magazine Linux Journal, and the archives of the now discontinued online publication Tux.
